This event is free to the public and everyone is welcome. There will be a freewill offering in support of Eagle Creek Little League. Jazz Kitchen: Tuesday, June 30, 2026 @ 7:00 - 9:00 PM
The Urban Renewal Big Band returns to the world-famous Jazz Kitchen with an evening we call, "The Latin Side of Urban Renewal". Over the years, the band has written nearly 300 original arrangements of our favorite tunes. Many of these charts feature the richness of Latin influence in the evolution of modern jazz.
This program will include music of Latin influence from all across the jazz spectrum, including Brazilian bossas, high-energy Afro-Cuban selections, Latin funk, and romantic ballads. Of course, there will be some Jobim, but we will also feature songs by Horace Silver, Juan Tizol, Freddie Hubbard, Charlie Parker, David Baker and many others. And naturally, there will be plenty of straight-ahead swingin' too. Please join us as Urban Renewal presents its fresh take on some of your favorite music. |
